Launched in 1989 with an agreement between the Republic of Turkey and the European Commission, the Jean Monnet Scholarship Program, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs, is one of Turkey's longest-established projects.
With the Jean Monnet Scholarship Program, scholars are given the opportunity to conduct research or graduate studies at a university or equivalent institution in EU member states for a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 12 months. The scholarships are allocated for qualified academic studies on EU acquis related issues within the scope of Turkey's EU accession process.
Those working in the public or private sector; those working as academic or administrative staff in our universities; and those studying as final year undergraduate, master's or doctoral students can apply for the Jean Monnet Scholarship Program.
